Product information "Rock Pi 4 zbh. M.2 Extend board"

Works with both ROCK PI 4A/ 4B versions.

The new M.2 Extension Board v1.6 has been improved based on community feedback.

Improvements:

Gold-plated connectors for stable data transfer

In the previous version, the connectors were simple FPC connectors. They could break easily, and the ribbon cable could be mounted incorrectly. The connectors not only prevent the cable from being inserted incorrectly, but also have a lock to prevent the connector from moving.

Improved ribbon cable with mounted gold-plated connectors on both sides.

The previous ribbon cable was always the subject of discussion. People complained that the cable did not provide stable data transmission because the connection through the FPC connector was not precise and good enough. They also said that interference could occur because ground wires were not used for insulation within the ribbon cable.

Both of these problems were addressed. Not only does the cable now have gold-plated connectors on both sides, but the layout pays close attention to shielding between the high-speed data lines. An intelligent layout ensures that no data is lost. The connectors have additional springs to ensure a stable connection even when the board is moved.

The only drawback now is the fact that the cable length can no longer be easily adjusted with replacement cables.

Newly designed interface board to the M.2 connector of the Rock Pi 4

The mounting of the M.2 board with simultaneous use of the EMMC has been improved.

The product includes:

M.2 expansion card
Mini PCB adapter to connect to the on-board M.2 connector
High performance flat ribbon cable
Mounting bolts and screws
