Product information "Silex-Technologie Wireless Client/Bridge WLAN-zu-LAN-Bridge BR-300AN"
Description
The BR-300AN wireless bridge is used to convert a 10/100/1000BASE-T-compatible wired LAN device into a WLAN-compatible device. The bridge enables wired LAN devices to exchange WLAN data in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. The BR-300AN wireless bridge can be integrated into a company’s security concept and used, for example, in offices, healthcare facilities and in systems where a secure WLAN is used.
Use of mobile devices thanks to the WLAN connection
The BR-300AN wireless bridge extends the flexible use of devices, for example in logistics, medicine and industry, as no cables need to be laid. The real-time data exchange promotes labour productivity.
Advanced security function
The Wireless Bridge BR-300AN supports the security functions in WLAN environments and thus ensures protection against WLAN access by unauthorised persons. The device is equipped with reliable WLAN security functions for companies.
- Open(None/64bit/128bit)
- Shared(64bit/128bit)
- WPA2-PSK(AES)
- WPA/WPA2-PSK Mixed(Auto)
- WPA2-Enterprise(AES)
- WPA/WPA2-Enterprise Mixed(Auto)
- 802.1x (EAP-TLS/EAP-TTLS/PEAP/LEAP/EAP-FAST)
Function for storing operating logs
The memory area of the Wireless Bridge BR-300AN is used to store operating logs over a long period of time. The device responds immediately to disruptions or deterioration of the connection due to changes in the wireless environment.
Integrated software for controlling devices
The Wireless Bridge BR-300AN is compatible with the optionally available device control software "AMC Manager®". This software allows network administrators to monitor the device status, configure changes, update the firmware and restart the devices for Silex networking products that are connected via a LAN or WLAN.
Two operating modes
1.Operation with one client
- In this operating mode, a device can be connected to a WLAN that is connected to the LAN port of the Wireless Bridge BR-300AN with a LAN cable
- The MAC address of the device connected to the LAN port is used for wireless data exchange (MAC transparency)
- As soon as the LAN-capable device is connected as a WLAN-compatible device, signals are recognised in the same way as for data exchange via wired networks
2.Operation with multiple clients
- A maximum of 16 LAN-compatible devices can be connected to the WLAN via a hub
- The MAC address of the Wireless Bridge BR-300AN is used for data exchange via the WLAN
Free setup and use (patented)
The Wireless Bridge BR-300AN setup page is accessible without having to change the configuration of the computer used for setup. No complicated procedures are required to set up the Wireless Bridge BR-300AN.
