DRAGINO Water leakage sensor LWL04

Overview

The Dragino LWL04 is a LoRaWAN water leakage sensor. If there is water between the bottom 3 metal posts, the LWL04 indicates a water leak and sends an uplink to the IoT server via the LoRaWAN network.

The Dragino LWL04 does not need to be fixed in place, but simply placed on the floor. The lower three metal columns can be adjusted in height. A short-circuit alarm is only triggered if there is water between the three metal columns.

The LWL04 can be activated from the bottom of the housing with a magnet, and the light indicates when the magnet is near. The main unit has a sealing ring that can achieve an IP65 protection rating.

The LWL04 is powered by a non-rechargeable CR123A battery and is intended for long-term use. These batteries can deliver approximately 16,000 to 70,000 uplink packets, resulting in a battery life of 2 to 10 years. When the battery is empty, the user can easily open the housing and replace it with CR123A batteries.

The LWL04 sends data regularly every day and every time there is a water leak. It also counts the water leak times and calculates the duration of the last water leak. The user can also deactivate the uplink for each water leak event, instead the device can count each event and send the uplink periodically.

Each LWL04 is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registration, these keys are registered with the LoRaWAN server and the device connects automatically after switching on.
